AoD SubmiSSION GUIDELINES and INSTRUCTIONS
Guidelines and Instructions:
- Member must be in good standing in the GBHBTA. This means that the member must have their 2024/2025 GBHBTA membership dues paid and full, and no invoices that are past due before the finalists are announced.
- Marketing materials must be solely used in the GBHBTA geographic area or in an adjacent market otherwise not serviced with an HBA/HBA with an awards program and used between January 2022 and August 2025.
- New Home, Renovation, and Design projects must be completed within the Grey-Bruce HBTA geographic area or in an adjacent market otherwise not serviced with an HBA/HBA with an awards program and completed between January 2022 and August 2025.
- New Home entry pricing must be inclusive of net HST and the market value for the lot.
- To qualify for a New Home Category, the General Contractor must be registered with Tarion.
- Condominium projects must be 25% complete between January 2022 and August 2025 to qualify for Project of the Year.
- Should questions arise regarding the category for which any entry is submitted, the member company must be able to substantiate price-point upon request.
- Winning entries from a previous year are NOT eligible.
- New Home, Renovation, and Marketing Awards will be presented to the “General Contractor” of the project. General Contractor is defined as being responsible for coordinating subcontractors involved in the project.
- Design Credit will be presented for New Home, Renovation, and Marketing categories to those GBHBTA members whom the General Contractor wishes to recognize as having made a significant contribution to the design of the marketing material or building project. If a GBHBTA member made a significant contribution to the project, please recognize their work.
- If a supplier or sub-trade wishes to submit an entry into a New Home, Renovation, or Marketing category to receive Design Credit, they must receive consent from the General Contractor. General Contractor must be a member, and will receive the Award should the entry win.
- Design categories are open to submission from any member company.
